At Marine Society and Sea Cadet's Annual Court, we were honoured to award George Jenkins with the Outstanding Achievement in Maritime Career Progression. The accolade was presented by MSSC's President, Admiral Sir Phil Jones with Marine Society's Director of Maritime Training and Development, Darrell Bate, providing a fitting introduction, summarising George's impressive maritime journey to date.

George gained a merit grade in his End Point Assessment for the Level 2 Marina and Boatyard Apprenticeship which he completed with ABP Ports and has
since gained a new role with Svitzer and is studying towards his Level 3 OOW (Near Coastal) 500 - a great example of an apprentice who has shown exceptional drive and dedication to building a maritime career.

We are not only proud of George and his accomplishments but also all of our apprentices across all eight standards that are forging their own paths and helping secure a positive future for the maritime sector.
