When you support us, you’re not only helping shape the next generation of seafarers. You’re also gaining the opportunity to meet lots of like-minded people with similar aims.
Self-development. Leadership. Empathy. Our work through the Sea Cadets helps young people develop some key skills and qualities – and has done for more than 160 years.
Through the Marine Society, one of the UK's oldest seafaring charities, we also provide vital education and financial support for professional seafarers – who might otherwise miss out on these opportunities, due to their working lifestyle.
We further enhance the well-being of those at sea by providing the Ship’s Library Service – a valuable and popular reading resource.
We have two schemes to keep you in touch with our work – Membership and Membership Plus, which are run on an annual or monthly basis. Payment can be made by cheque or credit card, although it is greatly appreciated if a Standing Order is established to reduce overall administration costs, thus making your donation go so much further.
Catch up on the yearly news with an invitation to our Annual Court held each year at Trinity House in London, plus receive Seafarer News, MSSC's magazine for supporters, issued three times a year.
Benefits of membership as seen above, plus Associate Membership to the Naval Club, invitations to offshore vessels and opportunities to attend special Sea Cadets events.
